On the day the final US soldier departed Afghanistan, Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi said that Afghanistan’s own government will be formed soon.
“We anticipate a consensual government to be formed in Afghanistan soon,” Shah Mehmood Qureshi said in Islamabad, flanked by German Foreign Minister Heiko Maas.
Qureshi said Pakistan had hosted three million Afghan refugees, adding them with health, education, and other services.

Qureshi urged the international community to assist Afghanistan. A stable, wealthy, and progressive Afghanistan is Pakistan’s goal.
However, the German Foreign Minister praised the Afghan Taliban’s recent comments promising no vengeance and upholding human rights in the country.
Haas supports an inclusive, broad-based government in Afghanistan.
He claimed the situation in Afghanistan had altered “dramatically” and that Pakistan had assisted in evacuating Afghans, Germans, and others.
