ISLAMABAD: In the past 24 hours, 4,500 pakistan tested positive for the coronavirus.
The NCOC disclosed this on Thursday. Meanwhile, the infection claimed another 85 lives.
The NCOC reports that out of 61,446 COVID-19 tests, 4,553 individuals tested positive for the virus. This increases the positive to 7.4%.
On August 26, there were 92,244 active cases nationwide.
So far, 1,022,847 individuals have recovered from the illness, but the death toll has increased to 25,320, with 85 new deaths.
Pakistan currently has 1,140,411 confirmed cases.
Pakistan had reported 141 coronavirus-related deaths the day before, the most in a single day since 161 deaths on May 4.
Pakistan has given at least 47,802,106 COVID vaccination doses. Assuming everyone gets two doses, it covers about 11% of the country’s population.
Pakistan gave an average of 544,485 dosages each day over the previous week. At that pace, it will take 80 days to treat another 10% of the population.
