WhatsApp is making some small adjustments to its privacy settings, making it simpler to disable privacy settings for specific contacts.
This was reported on Twitter by WABetaInfo, the primary independent site where you can get news and real-time updates regarding WhatsApp.
The update will be available on WhatsApp beta for both Android and iOS.
Currently, the Facebook-owned messaging app offers three privacy settings (last seen, profile picture, about) with three ways to control these settings (everyone, my contacts, nobody).
This meant that if you didn’t want a specific contact to see your last seen, you had to change the privacy option to “nobody.”
The next update WhatsApp is working on will include a new option called contacts except…’, allowing you to activate you’re last seen back and disable it for specific contacts.

This screenshot is from WhatsApp for iOS, but it will also be available on WhatsApp for Android, according to WABetaInfo.
In this example, you can see “My contacts except” for last seen, but it will also be useful for other privacy settings, such as “profile photo” and “about.”
