ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s COVID-19 graph has been decreasing this week, with fewer than 4,000 daily infections.

The country’s National Command and Operation Centre reported 3,787 new coronavirus cases in the past 24 hours, bringing the total to 1,171,578, the statistics indicated Friday morning.

The number of active coronavirus cases has also been decreasing. On Friday, there were 90,076 cases.

The positivity rate was 6.33 %.

The NCOC reports that the death toll has risen to 26,035.

Daily recoveries outweigh daily new cases. The past 24 hours saw 6,595 recoveries, bringing the total to 1,055,467.

Pakistan is reporting 3,911 new infections per day, 67 percent of the peak on June 17.

The country has given at least 58,156,714 COVID vaccine doses. If everyone gets two doses, it covers 13.4% of the country’s population.

Pakistan gave an average of 1,019,949 dosages each day over the previous week. At that rate, it will take 43 days to treat another 10% of the population.
